QUALITY
CONTROL
Quality control units, headed by Executive Engineers, working under Chief Engineer (Quality Control ) and Additional Secretary and look after the quality aspects of the works under progress in the department i.e. State divisions, Panchayat Divisions & National Highway Divisions etc. Units carry out frequent checking of on-going works, materials stacked/used in the works and the aspects related to the quality of the works with specific reference to the contractual liabilities related to the tender specifications. They also carry out inquiry of the work when complains are received from the Vigilance Commission, Anti Corruption Bureau, Govt. Officers, members of Legislative Assembly and General public etc. and report to the Government about the irregularities observed in the work. It also helps in carrying out departmental inquiries and preparing charge sheets for the Govt. Servants involved in the irregularities.
